Great Hall & Round Table

The Round Table, located in The Great Hall, which is a 13th- century hall featuring the legendary table which is romantically linked to King Arthur and his knights.

One of the finest surviving aisled halls of the 13th Century, The Great Hall is all that remains of Winchester Castle, along with, arguably the greatest symbol of medieval mythology, King Arthur’s Round Table.

Only a ten-minute walk from The Winchester Royal Hotel, this interesting tourist attraction is perfect for all ages.

Take a stroll around Queen Eleanor’s Garden, which is a re-creation of an enclosed medieval garden and includes many beautiful herbs and flowers of the time. Follow in the footsteps of Queen Eleanor of Provence and her daughter-in-law Queen Eleanor of Castile, whom the garden is named after, and who were know to have leisurely strolled around it.
