On Friday 29 September, The Winchester Royal Hotel is hosting a Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Every year cancer support charity, Macmillan, encourage venues all over the country to take part and create the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. The Winchester Royal Hotel will again be participating and hope to help the cancer support charity exceed last year’s national fundraising total of £29.5 million.
Local residents along with hotel guests are welcome to come and join the team at the hotel. With not only coffee, but a selection of cakes available too – made not only by the hotel chefs, but members of staff too – it is sure to be a fun-filled morning in Winchester, all in aid of an exceptional cause.
Louis Rigney, General Manager of the Winchester Royal Hotel said: “It’s great to announce that we’ll again be hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning. It’s such a fantastic idea and one that the residents of Winchester really get on-board with.
“My staff and I would love to see as many people attend as possible. In 2016, we raised £100 so hopefully we can beat that this year.”
Since the first ever Macmillan Coffee Morning back in 1990, the charity has raised more than £165.5 million.
The Winchester Royal Hotel is located on St Peter Street in Winchester (SO23 8BS), parallel to the main High Street.
