The Winchester Royal Hotel’s Employee of the Month for April has been named as Lily Games.

Lily, who works in the Food & Beverage department at the hotel, has received positive feedback from several guests during the month, which was the main reason for her being given the monthly prize.

However, it was a close-run thing as the F&B department have performed to an extremely high standard, with many of the team in contention for the award.

In deciding the eventual winner, General Manager at the Winchester Royal Hotel, Louis Rigney, praised Lily’s personality as well as the positive feedback she’s received recently. He said: “This month was a really tough one to single out just one person as the whole F&B team have really stood out.

“Lily, however, always has a fantastic attitude when she comes to work. She’s friendly, bubbly and the guests really seemed to notice this during April. I had several positive comments about Lily, which is why she was chosen as the winner and thoroughly deserves to be rewarded with a £30 Love2Shop vouchers.

“There was great feedback from guests about many members of the F&B team recently, which is why I’m also going to give vouchers to the other members of staff who have received recognition as a reward for going the extra mile.”

This positive feedback received from guests comes on the back of the hotel receiving Hotels.com’s ‘Loved By Guests’ Award, and being voted the best restaurant in Winchester by users of Michelin’s Bookatable.
