The Winchester Royal Hotel Employee of the Month for June has been named as Food & Beverage Assistant, Joe Byres.
Joe was praised for his fantastic work ethic, flexibility and positive attitude towards helping his colleagues during the month, as well as consistently making himself available to cover other departments’ absences at short notice.
Louis Rigney, General Manager of the Winchester Royal Hotel was full of praise for Joe’s approach to his work during June. He said: “Picking the winners for these awards is always tough, but when we see a spirit and work ethic like Joe showed during the month, it was hard to look beyond him.
“Performing well and being consistent in your own department is what’s expected from all our staff, but to show a commitment to your fellow colleagues and step up when needed certainly doesn’t go unnoticed. Joe did that last month and that’s why he was the standout choice for this award.
“The Food and Beverage department are proving their worth at the moment. This is the third winner in just four months, so it’s clear to see we’ve got a really good team and long may this continue.”
The winner of the employee of the month award receives a £30 Love2Shop voucher, which Joe is seen collecting his from Operations Manager, Tom Pyke.
