We know what it’s like… of course we’re going to tell you how great we are, but how about the views of industry experts?
Well, the Winchester Royal Hotel has been in the national spotlight recently with some excellent coverage in two of the biggest national publications in the UK. You may or may not have seen us being mentioned in the Telegraph and BBC’s Good Food Guide, but we’re always very proud of positive comments we receive and wanted to share them with you.
The Telegraph, with a national circulation of more than 350,000, ran an article in their travel section which said: “The Winchester Royal Hotel offers elegant accommodation in a former bishop’s home. The hotel blends classic and modern style and features an award-winning restaurant overlooking a beautiful walled garden, as well as 81 tastefully decorated rooms.”
We’re glad they noticed the award-winning restaurant and that was backed up in the BBC Good Food Magazine who recently did a dedicated article on Winchester as a city and the ‘where to stay’ section only recommended our “former Bishop’s residence and convent” that’s “close to the city centre and has rooms big enough for families”. High praise from both publications!
Travel Writer for the Telegraph, Kathryn Liston, was very complimentary of the hotel, citing the “warm hospitality” and the “pretty walled garden” as reasons to stay.
So, don’t just take our word for it… Keep your eyes open for more coverage of the Winchester Royal Hotel and if you do want to book a stay with us, you can book online.
