Food & Beverage Assistant, Craig Vidler, has earned himself a much-deserved Employee of the Month Award for November.
As the team at the hotel head into the busiest period of the year, Craig made a notable impression with his Winchester Royal colleagues, as well as the management team, thanks to his hard work and dedication during the month. He covered many shifts in the restaurant – breakfast, lunch and dinner – many of which at short notice. He also showed his creative flare in helping to make the hotel look festive with some beautiful decorations to welcome guests.
Louis Rigney, General Manager of the Winchester Royal Hotel, was delighted with Craig’s over contribution and attitude during the month. He said: “Many people really contributed during November, but Craig was a standout choice for the award this month.
“From November onwards, working in a hotel is always pretty hectic… it’s long hours and busy shifts with Christmas Parties, and other festive bookings. That’s before we step it up again for our big events on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
“But this is why it’s great that we have people like Craig, who can really be counted on when needed. He worked extra shifts at short notice, without fuss, and was just a great team member.
“I would love to say he can take it slightly easier as a reward for his efforts, but this is where the real work starts as the Christmas bookings come thick and fast. I know that Craig, nor any of the team, will be complaining though as this what working in the hospitality industry is all about and we wouldn’t change it for world!”
Congratulations to Craig who is pictured here with Operations Manager, Ben Robbins, collecting a £30 Love2Shop voucher.
