Harry Carter, Food & Beverage Assistant at The Royal Winchester Royal Hotel, has been rewarded this week after achieving five years of employment at the hotel.

Having started in 2016, Harry’s been a familiar face to many guests over the years who’ve stayed or dined at the hotel. He’s worked across all areas of the F&B department including in the restaurant, during events and at banquets.

His dedication and loyalty has seen him rewarded with a £500 bonus – a gesture from the company to show appreciation for his services.

General Manager of the Winchester Royal Hotel, Louis Rigney, praised Harry’s commitment and work during his time with the business. He said: “Five years of employment is no mean feat, especially in today’s world where people change jobs far more frequently than ever.

“Harry has been a friendly face to many of our guests over the years and he’s become an experienced and valued member of our F&B team. He really epitomises what we try and instil into our team here at the Royal – dedication, hard-work but with a sense of enjoyment in coming to work to serve our guests.

“I’d like to thank Harry on behalf of everybody at the Winchester Royal Hotel for his service and commitment over the past five years, and hopefully many more.”

After a year of closures due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Winchester Royal Hotel fully re-opened on Monday (17 May). The hotel is welcoming accommodation guests, and the Garden Restaurant and Lounge is open for visitors to enjoy an enjoyable dining experience – both for those staying at the hotel and living locally.
