Parking at the Winchester Royal Hotel

We have two car parks on site at the Winchester Royal Hotel. One at the front of the Hotel on St. Peter Street and one at the rear of the Hotel on Parchment Street.

These are two separate car parks on parallel streets to the hotel and can only be accessed via the one-way system. Our on-site car parking is very limited due to the size of the car parks, and we cannot pre-reserve or guarantee spaces.

Winchester City Centre operates on a one-way system that orbits through and around the city. We highly advise planning alternative parking routes before arriving at the hotel.

Any of our accommodation packages that state “car parking is included” mean only that this is non-chargeable by the hotel. All our parking remains subject to availability. If your booking does not include car parking and you are able to secure a space at the hotel, this is chargeable at £12 per night for secured overnight parking.

An access code to exit the car park will be given from reception prior to check out. If there is signage stating “Car-Park Full” then please use the alternate local parking. Do not enter through the barrier as this will create unnecessary delays and issues when trying to exit the car park without an exit code.

If the car parks are full, we advise driving to the front of the Hotel (on St. Peter Street) to drop your luggage off before proceeding to one of the local car-parks.

Please be aware that if you are planning to arrive early to secure parking at the hotel, this does not mean that parking will be available due to our check out time of 11am and we may also have multiple night stays using the car park. Regrettably we also cannot allow vehicles to be left in the Hotel car parks once you have checked out.
